This is Limon’s first poetry book. There weren’t any standout poems in there for me, which is crazy because she’s one of my favorite poets! The poetry was okay, but I think the most instructive bit was seeing how style and ability develop over time. The one I found most entertaining used the last line of a stanza as the first line of the new stanza which was fun to read: a sentence ending something that also starts something new with a new meaning applied to the same phrase.
